ANALISIS KARAKTERISTIK BONGKAHAN ASPAL DAUR ULANG (RAP) JALAN PROVINSI KM.09 PPU

Abstract

In handling surface damage on roads, it is done by giving additional layers, so that the road body is higher, and leaving problems with the drainage system, especially in urban areas. The purpose of this study was to determine the composition of asphalt after passing the service period and to determine the characteristics of the resulting flexible pavement and the feasibility of utilizing hot asphalt mixed lump material for road rehabilitation and maintenance activities.

From the results of the study concluded that the characteristics and properties of the  material of asphalt concrete demolition material suitable extraction test results obtained asphalt content of 5.3%, while the grain size of the aggregate to be degraded, but still can be used as road paving material by adding new aggregate as a fluxing ,  characteristics being flexible pavement using staples chunks of asphalt method of hot asphalt mixture of asphalt  Penetrasi 60/70 wear relatively compliant, but the numbers are too low VFA is 57.4% and VIM (porosity) is too high so that the values ​​obtained 8.0% pavement tends to be porous.
