Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of deep well hydrogeological conditions in the PT. Pertamina Balikpapan in order to analyze and evaluate the potential of ground water sources as well as analysis and evaluation of existing wells. The research method used is the measurement of existing wells and geoelectric testing method with type ABEM DC - Terrameter SAS 2002 to know the description of aquifer potential in the refinery of PT Pertamina Balikpapan. The results showed that the results of the measurements of seven deepwell wells have been significantly degraded and the construction is estimated to have been damaged. The geoelectric measurements indicate that the potential of groundwater aquifers in the refinery area at medium and large potentials. The physical examination results and geoelectric test results are recommended to reconstruct the damaged deep wells and limit the pumping rate wisely at the pumping capacity of 30-40 m3 / hour.
