Abstract

The storage tank has a heavy load both from its structure and from its dynamic load, in operating conditions the storage tank weight reaches 493.13 tons including the weight of the structure. Given the unstable soil conditions in the Kalimantan region, analysis of settlement is very important. With the help of AFES software based on the shape of the foundation design, type of foundation used, design load and existing soil conditions, the storage tank experienced a decrease in elastic soil of 5.52 mm, with a design life of 7 years. While the amount of soil consolidation at the end of the design life is 52 mm, so the total settlement on the storage tank foundation is 57.5 mm. From the results of the analysis, it can be seen that the consolidation rate of 90% occurs at 6.55 years of design age
